Indelible Silver Linings Academy (ISLA) measures its success by evaluating both short-term program outputs and long-term community impact, with a focus on reducing disparities, addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and expanding equitable access to education and mental health supports for underserved communities.
Program Areas & Focus:
ISLA provides early childhood STEM education, K–12 STEM enrichment, and mental health awareness and trauma-informed curriculum designed to reduce disparities and adverse outcomes for youth and families of color. Our work is grounded in a culturally responsive and family-centered model that integrates academic enrichment, trauma-informed practices, and wraparound community supports.
Outcomes & KPIs:
• Increased family engagement in trauma-informed workshops (target: 70% retention across events).
• Reduction in stigma around mental health as measured by pre/post surveys.
• Academic improvement among youth engaged in STEM enrichment (target: 75% demonstrate progress in core math and science benchmarks).
• Strengthened family resilience and bonding through culturally responsive programming and access to wraparound supports.

Historical Impact:
To date, ISLA has directly served thousands of families across Los Angeles County, reducing barriers to education and mental health support, while building resilience in communities most affected by poverty, systemic inequities, and trauma.
